Rehabilitation Therapy and Restorative Care

If you’re recovering from injury, illness or surgery, Luther Manor provides exemplary rehabilitation therapy on both a short-term and long-term basis. Our rehabilitation area provides a spacious environment, the best equipment and talented therapists to assist our residents in their therapy sessions. Upon completion of your therapy, our rehabilitation team will provide you with a comprehensive discharge plan for your return home.

Rehabilitation therapy at Luther Manor includes:

• Physical therapy to strengthen muscles and improve walking, balance, and mobility after a fall or a fracture and promote higher levels of functioning
• Occupational therapy to improve arm and hand movement in activities of daily living like dressing and bathing
• Speech and language therapy to improve eating, swallowing, cognitive and language skills following a stroke or brain injury

Luther Manor also has a Restorative division, which has been designed to help residents optimize and maintain their abilities to self-perform activities for daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, eating, bathing, dressing and hygiene, by utilizing a combination of walking, exercise and range of motion programs.

The common areas are always lively with activities such as the morning coffee social, birthday parties and holiday celebrations, and they offer the perfect backdrop for gatherings with friends and family. When the weather is right, you can make your way out to one of our two beautiful courtyards featuring raised flower boxes with flowers planted by our residents, a fountain and a pond where families are welcome to take their loved ones anytime.

Luther Manor offers a number of services to help you live well, from beauticians who provide a variety of services for all residents to the Chapel of Luther Manor that serves people of all faiths. Our dining services offer excellent food designed to meet the dietary requirements of all residents including diabetic and other special diet monitoring. We focus the use of high quality, fresh ingredients in daily, home-cooked meals.

We recognize that not all residents enjoy or are capable of participating in large group activities so the staff offers small group options for those with dementia; and one-on-one visits for residents who are unable to attend due to medical reasons or who prefer individual attention. Activities may include sensory stimulation to reach residents at all levels including reading, assistance in writing letters, devotions and games.
