Lutheran Social Services of Michigan manages 15 group homes for adults with developmental disabilities. Each home has three to 16 residents and 24-hour staffing.

 

We work to integrate our consumers into the larger community by encouraging choice and independence.

 

Referrals for group home placement must be made by the county Community Mental Health agency.

 CLEAVE HOME is a Special Housing development for the developmentally disabled adults comprised of two buildings. The main building is a two-story structure that contains eight double-occupancy resident rooms (each with a private bathroom), a community kitchen, community living space, and management office suite. The second building is a one-story structure that houses a small one-bedroom apartment for the resident home manager and storage space. CLEAVE was built in 1978.

In-Home Services

Alison House
serves adults with physical disabilities

 

Alison House, just outside Lansing, is LSSM's first apartment building for adults with physical disabilities who are able to live independently.

 

Residents must meet HUD income eligibility requirements. The one- and two-bedroom apartments are completely barrier free. Alison House is near N. Creyts Road and W. Saginaw Hwy., with easy access to public transportation and shops. For more information on renting, email the building manager or give them a call (517) 323-4222.
