Refugee foster kids win soccer tourney

A team of teens in Lansing’s refugee foster care program emerged victorious in a soccer tournament June 28 against two teams from Bethany Christian Services and one Burmese youth community team. The Lutheran Social Services team won both games they played. “This is huge for the kids, because we lost twice to Bethany's team last year,” said Diane Baird, refugee foster care supervisor.

Cottages now accepting reservations

MapleCreek is now able to take reservations for new condominium-style units at The Cottages and apartments at The Terraces, and model units are available for inspection. More than 500 people toured the new units, along with other new and improved facilities at The Woods and The Lodge, during MapleCreek’s open house July 24.
