The Terraces at MapleCreek is fast becoming a favorite stopping-off spot for the jolly old elf, Santa Claus.
First, there was the holiday party on Friday
evening, Dec. 10. Chef Tyson Scaife went all out and prepared a delicious buffet featuring Norwegian smoked salmon, crab-stuffed shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, spiral-sliced ham, scalloped potatoes, and assorted sweets. Opus 2, a flute-and-cello duo, provided live Christmas music, filling the air with the sounds of the season in the beautifully decorated dining room. And then to the delight of the young-at-heart, Santa arrived. “Were you good
this year?” he asked as he handed each resident a gift.
Just a few days later, around lunchtime on Monday, Dec. 13, dear Santa came by again to visit our residents at The Terraces. As he made his way back to the dining room with Linda Cross, activity assistant, he stopped and spoke with each of the residents he met in the corridor. It was a delightful visit for everyone.
