Melanie Nabozny has joined Lutheran Social Services as director of quality assurance in Services for Senior Adults. Melanie had been a long term care clinical care consultant with Plante Moran for the past 10 years and has coordinated consulting and training programs with Aging Services of Michigan, HCAM and Nadonna. She recently led training sessions on the upcoming changes to the MDS processes and Medicare RUGS reimbursement models. Melanie worked for 10 years at a hospital-based skilled nursing community and as an MDS coordinator.. “Melanie has a broad base of knowledge of quality assurance program measures as well as the reimbursement models related to clinical operations in the long term care arena,” said Steven Tyshka, vice president, Services for Senior Adults. “With the continual changes in the health care environment and health care reform, Melanie’s knowledge and expertise will be a great asset to Lutheran Social Services in bolstering the quality of our clinical operations and systems.”
