MapleCreek schedules Fall Lecture Series

MapleCreek in Grand Rapids has planned a Fall Lecture Series, which is free and open to the public. On October 7, the speakers will be Barb Geno from West Michigan Therapy Dogs and occupational therapist Gretchen Barr discussing Alternative Therapies for the Older Adult. On October 14, clinical psychologist Suzann Ogland-Hand, PhD, will speak on Depression and the Older Adult. Joy Spahn, from the Alzheimer's Association, and Deedre Vriesman, manager of The Woods at MapleCreek, will speak on Understanding Dementia. The series will end October 28 with a discussion on Navigating the Long-Term Care System by Tom Muszynski from Care Resources and Susan Lemon, executive director of MapleCreek. All lectures start at 6:30 p.m. in Trinity Chapel at The Terraces at MapleCreek, 2000 32nd St. SE. For more information, call MapleCreek at (616) 452-5900.
