sh Village residents organized a picnic August 10 at the Rochester Hills senior apartment community in honor of local firefighters and paramedics. Rescue crews visit the center frequently to help residents with emergencies. The residents wanted to show their appreciation to the firefighters and paramedics who do so much to help them. “They are very good with our residents and know a lot of them from helping them repeatedly,” said Jennifer Ayan, administrative assistant at the center. Fifteen firefighters and paramedics were greeted with a well-deserved round of applause by the more than 100 residents who participated. They all enjoyed fried chicken, sausage, cold salads and cake.
